Service Job Team Handover Template

Help someone who did not attend understand the next Visit. This text template separates observed facts, customer decisions and unresolved dependencies, then asks the reader to explain the next action back in their own words.

Make the next attendance understandable

Record what was inspected or completed, what remains and why. A phrase such as 'same as last time' requires knowledge the next person may not have. Include the specific Job reference, Location and approved scope.

Check the receiving person's actual screen. In Daylane, Location access notes are not automatically included in the private Visit detail, and the offline Agenda snapshot does not include the complete Job record. Confirm an appropriate way for the assigned person to receive necessary access details.

Keep customer wording separate

Use the internal handover for operational detail. Write a separate customer summary with the work outcome and agreed next step. Do not copy private access instructions or unrelated internal notes into a public Visit page.

  • Label unconfirmed statements as unconfirmed.
  • Check that parts and permissions are ready before offering a return.
  • Have the next person identify the task and missing facts before attendance.
