Daylane
Privacy policy
How account, scheduling and Customer information is collected, used, shared and removed.Who handles the information
Daylane is operated by Daylane operator details pending. A Business uses Daylane to manage its own Customers, Locations, Jobs, Visits and Team Members. The Business decides what work information it enters and who on its team may use it. Daylane stores and processes that information to provide the scheduling service.
Information Daylane collects
- Account identity, sign-in details and Business contact settings.
- Team Member names, account email addresses, roles, Availability, quiet hours, on-call settings and Visit Assignments.
- Customer contact details and saved service Locations.
- Jobs, Visits, notes, Checklists, photos and scheduling history.
- Booking Requests and Change Requests submitted through private links.
- Transactional-email status, imports, exports, security events and deletion requests.
- Technical request data needed to secure and operate the service.
Daylane does not ask for payment-card details, identity documents, continuous worker location or health information. Do not put those details in free-text fields or photos.
Why the information is used
Daylane uses the information to authenticate users; provide the schedule; create, assign and record Visits; send factual Customer and Team schedule messages; process Customer requests; prevent abuse; support exports and deletion; and investigate service or security faults. Scheduling data is not used for advertising, unrelated profiling or model training by default.
Who receives it
Authorised members of the relevant Business receive the information needed for their role. Daylane also uses service providers for web hosting, database, authentication, private file storage and factual email delivery. The current list and its verification status are in the provider register.
Opening a Location in Google Maps or copying a completed Job into Free Invoice App is a user-directed hand-off. Daylane does not currently send either service a continuous background feed.
Overseas access
Some providers may store or allow support access to information outside Australia. Daylane will publish the countries that can access production information after checking each provider's current contract and subprocessor list. Live Customer data must not be enabled until that check is complete.
Retention and deletion
- Active Business records are kept while they are needed to provide the workspace.
- Completed and cancelled Job records default to three years after the last Job activity. The Business Owner can choose a period from three to seven years in Business settings.
- Visit photos default to 12 months after the Job closes. Location access notes are cleared after that period when the Location has no open work.
- CSV preview rows expire after 24 hours.
- Transactional-email delivery records default to 12 months; identifiable security events to 24 months.
- A Business deletion request has a 72-hour recovery window before live records and private files are purged.
- Deleted data may remain beyond normal use in protected backups for no more than the verified backup period, targeted at 30 days.
A Business can export its records and request deletion from account settings. A Business may need to keep its own exported records for tax, employment, dispute or other legal reasons. Daylane does not treat every schedule or photo as a seven-year record.
Security and data incidents
Daylane uses role-based access, database row policies, private file storage, expiring public capabilities, rate limits and audit records. No online service can promise absolute security. Suspected incidents are contained, assessed, notified where required and reviewed.
Access, correction and complaints
Account holders can correct many Business and Customer records in the app. Customers should first contact the Business that collected their scheduling information. You may also ask Daylane to explain, access or correct information it controls, or make a privacy complaint.
The monitored privacy email address will be published before public launch.
Policy changes
The policy date and any material change will be shown here. If a change affects how existing information is used, Daylane will give affected Businesses notice before the change takes effect where practicable.
