How to Review Overnight Schedule Change Requests Before Dispatch

Review overnight customer changes before the first departure, with a morning sequence for affected Visits, saved decisions and team communication.

Review overnight change requests before people leave for affected Visits. Start with the earliest attendance at risk, confirm the current request and save the scheduling decision before communicating the final arrangement. Receiving a request does not by itself change the Visit.

Order the review by the next real consequence

A change affecting an 08:00 departure needs attention before a flexible enquiry for next week. The sample queue below is a manual planning example; use the actual timing and working channels of your business.

Distinguish acknowledgement from acceptance

A useful acknowledgement is: 'We have your request and are reviewing today's schedule. I will confirm the arrangement before attendance.' Do not say the new time is booked until it has been checked and saved.

In Daylane, owners and schedulers review customer change requests. An accepted reschedule needs a new date and time; a conflicting assigned Visit can prevent the change. If the request changed while you were reviewing it, refresh and read the current state.

Verify the saved result and update the brief

Check the Visit time, status, arrival window and assigned people after the decision. Review any customer email result separately from the saved schedule. A successful scheduling action and a delivered message are different outcomes.

Tell anyone relying on yesterday's printed or copied run sheet which arrangement is now current. Record unresolved items with an owner and next update time so morning urgency does not turn them into forgotten requests.
