Read the customer-facing title and instructions as though you were receiving the Visit link. Keep the wording factual, useful and suitable for that recipient. Internal notes belong in the appropriate internal field; changing the page's audience does not make private commentary suitable to share.
Review the fields that appear publicly
Daylane's public Visit page includes the Job title, customer instructions, service address and attendance details. It does not display Customer internal notes, Location access notes, Job internal notes or Visit internal instructions. Check the actual page before sending its link.
| Draft wording | Decision | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Please clear the work area before arrival | Keep if agreed | Useful customer preparation |
| Customer says the meeting-room door sticks | Use factual wording if relevant | Labels a report rather than a finding |
| Private internal commentary about the customer | Keep out of customer-facing fields | Does not help the recipient prepare |
| Restricted site credential | Review the appropriate access process | Do not place it in a broadly shared brief |
Review the link's intended recipient
A private Visit link should go to the people who need that attendance information. Check the destination before sending or pasting it into a shared channel. The page's lack of a public search listing does not make the link harmless to distribute widely.
If the customer and site manager are different people, decide what each needs to know. Do not add extra private detail to the shared instructions merely to solve an internal handover gap.
Repeat the review after material edits
A previously reviewed link may display changed Job customer instructions or updated timing. Check again after a scope or access change and communicate the relevant update through the intended channel.
Keep essential field instructions in the Visit's internal brief when appropriate. Verify the assigned person's view separately rather than relying on the public page as the team's complete work record.
