How to Review a Cleaner’s Move From a Diary to a Digital Schedule

Compare a cleaning workflow before and after a diary migration using your own records, a small observation sheet and clearly scoped conclusions.

A real Daylane schedule with sanitised fictional example data.

Review the same working tasks before and after a diary migration: finding a booking, changing a Visit and recovering the next action on unfinished work. Use your own documented examples. This is a self-audit method, not a customer case study or a claim that switching tools produces a particular time saving.

Choose comparable tasks

Pick a small set from an ordinary cleaning week and note the conditions. A quiet practice session and a busy working morning are not directly comparable. Keep the original diary or record available while checking the new process.

TaskBefore: record what happenedAfter: record what happened
Find next customer and addressWhere was the information found?Could the current Visit be identified?
Move one cleanWhich copies needed updating? Was the saved time and message clear?
Review incomplete workHow was the next action found? Was the open Job's owner visible?

Record friction without turning it into a sales claim

Write specific observations such as 'the address was copied from a message' or 'the colleague opened the wrong occurrence'. If you measure time, define the start and end of the task and include interruptions. Do not replace missing measurements with an estimated percentage improvement.

Label any filled practice example as fictional. If you later publish a real customer story, obtain permission for the material and explain the method and limits of the comparison.

Use the findings to improve one step

Choose one recurring point of confusion and change the workflow or brief. For example, a consistent Job title may help distinguish two properties, while a clearer migration ownership rule may prevent duplicate bookings.

Repeat the same task after the change and record whether the specific problem improved. Keep conclusions limited to the observed workflow rather than claiming that every cleaner will experience the same result.
