Which Daylane Schedule View Helps With Which Decision?

Choose Week, Day by team, Agenda, Month or Unscheduled for the planning question in front of you, using one fictional service week across five views.

A real Daylane schedule with sanitised fictional example data.

Choose the schedule view that answers your current question. A weekly overview, a person's next attendance and a backlog review need different levels of detail. Switching views should help you inspect the same work, not create separate versions of the booking.

Match the view to the question

Daylane's schedule navigation offers Week, Day by team, Agenda, Month and Unscheduled. The example below applies those views to a fictional week with regular cleaning, a shared maintenance Visit and a parts-dependent return.

ViewQuestionExample use
WeekHow does work fit across the week?Compare regular Visits and open gaps
Day by teamWho is assigned on this day?Review a shared maintenance attendance
AgendaWhat attendance should I act on next?Check Customer, time and Location before departure
MonthWhat is the broader pattern?Review dates around leave or closures
UnscheduledWhich open work lacks a current/upcoming Visit?Review the parts-dependent return

Open the record before making a detailed decision

A Month overview can show the pattern without explaining a particular access instruction. An Agenda summary can show the next Visit without every internal note. Open the Job or Visit for the detail needed to change scope, timing or handover.

For team work, check each participant's availability and travel. A business-level overview does not establish that every assigned person can reach the site.

Reconcile after changing views

After editing a Visit, check its saved state in the relevant view and open the record if the display appears inconsistent. Use the Job reference to identify the same work across screens.

Do not create a duplicate booking just because a filtered or role-specific view does not show what you expected. Review the date, status, assignment and access permissions first.

Review team availability before booking
