What Should an Unscheduled-work Review Sheet Contain?

Build a practical open-work review worksheet with Job reference, blocker, owner and next review date, including a filled fictional example and free download.

Daylane week schedule with field Jobs, Customers and service Locations
A real Daylane schedule with sanitised fictional example data.

Give every reviewed Job an identity, a reason it is not scheduled and a next action with an owner. A review sheet should help someone make a decision, not reproduce the whole Job history. Keep it aligned with the current records and mark when it was prepared.

Choose fields that lead to action

The sample below is a manual review worksheet. It does not create automatic reminders or change Daylane's Job status. Use the Job reference to open the underlying record when more context is needed.

Keep a small set of review outcomes

At each review, choose a concrete outcome: ready to offer, waiting on a named dependency, customer decision needed or closure review. These can be worksheet labels; do not imply that they are dedicated product statuses if your system does not provide them.

If a task is ready, schedule it through the actual workflow and verify the saved Visit. If it remains blocked, update the owner or review time rather than copying the same stale row into another week.

Reconcile the sheet with the current backlog

Compare the worksheet with Daylane's Unscheduled view and the relevant Job records. Remove resolved entries from the active review list while keeping the factual outcome in the work history.

The download is an editable plain-text worksheet with a filled example and blank rows. Store completed copies through your normal protected business process because they may contain customer and work information.
