How to Export Customer and Job Records From Daylane

Review Daylane's Customer, Location, Job and Visit CSV exports, preserve their record IDs and understand which related data is outside those datasets.

Export the datasets needed for your next process and keep their IDs so the relationships remain understandable. Daylane provides separate Customer, Location, Job and Visit CSV exports to owners and schedulers. These are structured record exports, not a complete restorable copy of every account feature.

Choose the datasets by relationship

Open Import and export in settings and review the dataset before downloading it. Exports can contain internal information, so store and share them through your normal protected business process.

LocationsAddress, label, access notesLocation ID and Customer ID
JobsReference, scope, status, internal/customer instructionsJob ID, Customer ID, Location ID

Preserve the links between files

Do not remove record IDs simply because they are less readable than names. One customer can have several Locations and Jobs; names alone are a weak way to rebuild those relationships. Keep an untouched original export before making a working copy.

Check the saved CSV preserves leading zeros and quoted text. Inspect a few records with different shapes, including missing optional fields and multiline notes, before relying on a transformed file.

Review what the export does not recreate

These four datasets do not automatically export or restore every photo, Checklist result, separate Visit note, assignment, communication or recurrence configuration. Decide what else your migration or record-preservation process needs.

The Customer import schema is different from the full export schemas. Uploading all exported files into Customer import is not a full account restore. Map the intended fields and test a small controlled transfer before moving a larger set.
